V2Green delivers smart-grid technology that enables Smart Charging and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) services. The V2Green System, an integrated client-server solution, establishes intelligent, two-way communication between plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVS) and the power grid. The flow of electricity to and from these grid-aware vehicles can then be managed by utilities, within parameters set by vehicle owners. In real time, utilities can minimize grid stress and more effectively integrate renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power. V2Green's load management capability can be used to deliver energy cost-savings and lower PHEV ownership costs. V2Green's technology is being deployed in field trials conducted by Xcel Energy, Austin Energy, Seattle City Light and other leading U.S. energy companies.
